Henderson County Real Estate vs Buncombe County Real Estate
My firm is centrally located between Henderson County and Buncombe County. Many Real Estate Firms in Asheville are like attorney office, they like to be downtown near the courthouse. I thought it more advantageous to have an office strategically located between Henderson and Buncombe Counties so our firm can service both counties easily.
Exit Realty Vistas has lots of buyers who are not sure whether they want to purchase a Home for sale in Asheville NC or a home for sale in Hendersonville NC.
Many buyers want to be close to downtown Asheville and the closer you live to Asheville, the more you are going to spend on a home.
Below is a graph of the homes sold in Henderson County in the last twelve months and you can see that the average sale price is well below $194K.
Now in Henderson County, your property taxes are not as high, but don’t purchase a home on just that alone, because we are talking a difference of about $100/year on the average. So not something that will break the bank.
However, I do believe you get more house for your money in Henderson County. Henderson County does have more gated communities and golf course communities than Buncombe county and if you set those communities aside and look at the rest of the county, you can get more bag for your buck in Henderson County.
The average sale price in March 2013 in Buncombe County was $233,526. You can see from the graph that we are starting to creep back up, but there a significant difference in the average price in both counties.
There are plenty of factors that we can consider with this hypothesis, but this is my blog and this is where I choose to end it.
