I have lived in Haywood County, NC for 32 years moving here from Florida.
In Florida I was a Corporate Lending Officer for 20 years specializing in mortgage lending for conventional financing, FHA and VA lending.
Moving to Canton, NC, I pursued a degree at Western Carolina University in Elementary Education. During my 27 years teaching I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and also a Master's Degree in Library Science as well as achieving National Board Certification. I retired from the Haywood Co. School System in 2012 and continued part-time teaching with then until 2020.
I bought a home in the Town of Clyde in 2000. I immediately became of member of Clyde's local Planning Board and served for 17 years. In December 2017 I was selected to join the Governing Board for the Town of Clyde as their first Alderwoman and was officially elected to that position in 2019. I continue to serve in this capacity and enjoy being a part of all the decisions made to help run our town.
I became a realtor because I enjoy meeting people and I love this area that I call home. I have experienced the "vacationing in the mountains and being smitten with the area, then wanting to relocate to the mountains." I did just that! I want to help others have the same life changing experience that I had so they, too, can call the mountains their home.
I love to travel throughout our country and also look forward to some planned trips abroad. During the spring and summer months, I love to work in my herb garden growing, harvesting and drying herbs for use in my cooking. My most exciting and special times are spent with together with my family.
